The Actor's Space

The Actor's Space is a 3-hour workshop, focused on developing your craft, connecting with fellow performers, and keeping your skills sharp between shows or auditions.

Whether you're looking to build confidence, returning to the stage after a break, or simply want a regular space to play and grow - these sessions are for you.

Each one includes:
  • 🎲 Drama games and warm-ups
  • 🎭 Focused scene study or script work
  • 🎯 A themed exercise, designed to enhance performance skills
  • 🤝 Time to meet and connect with other actors
  • 🌟 Occasional guest tutors from across the industry

Sessions are £30 each and usually run on a quarterly basis at the Shadow Road Studio, Barnes, with a maximum of 5 actors taking part in each session, so everyone has plenty of time and space to develop their skills. The next one is due to take place in January 2027.

These aren’t classes or courses, as such - more dynamic, supportive workshops designed to help keep your acting muscles strong and your creative spirit fired up.

I run the Actor’s Space sessions in my capacity as Artistic Director of Shadow Road Productions. I have almost two decades' experience as a director, writer, actor, and producer, having worked at a wide variety of venues, from the Palace Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue, to the Edinburgh Fringe, and historic venues such as the Roman Theatre of Verulamium and Southside House. I have created and led shows for the National Trust, Barnes Children’s Literature Festival, the London Wetland Centre, military charity Combat Stress, and many more.

As a tutor and director, I'm known for creating warm, collaborative spaces where actors feel supported, energised, and challenged to grow. Whether you’re returning to acting, building confidence, or just want a regular creative outlet, I promise you’ll be in excellent hands!

Book your tickets on the Shadow Road TicketSource page - or contact me directly if you would like to arrange an additional session for up to 5 people at a time before the next quarterly workshop comes round!
